Have your ever been confused when you get the message as Windows failed to start as above ? If you get this message, then you can be sure that a recently installed driver or any software is not compatible with the system or clashing with other software because of which your windows failed to start.
The easiest method to solve this is to run the computer in safe mode.
Restart the computer and press “F8” button as Windows logo is about to display and continue on pressing.
Now you will get the screen as below.
Use your down arrow and select “Safe mode” and press enter.
Now only the minimum required files will load so that your windows can load in a basic mode without any animations or advanced function.
Now you can remove the currently installed driver or software.
Go to “control panel.”
Click on “Programs and Features”
Now you will see the following screen. You can see the currently installed program.
Right click on it and click on “Uninstall”
If you want to remove any drivers.
Right click on “My Computer” icon on the desktop and click on “Properties”
Select “Device manager” from the left menu.
Now double click on the hardware of whose driver you want to remove.
Right click on the driver and click on “Uninstall”. After the driver is removed restart the computer and it should work fine.
If this doesn’t work you can use a recovery disk or recovery image stored in your hard disk to revert the windows back to the factory mode.
