Have you ever experienced that you had shut down your computer properly but when you are trying to start now then your computer is not starting. Or maybe you are using your computer and suddenly you experienced a problem and your computer shuts down. You try to switch on but you can’t. In this you can try to restart the computer by selecting the start-up option “Last known good configuration”.
“Last known good configuration” stores the current system settings in the registry when your computer was running well. So, when you start the computer by this option then the system starts with those settings stored in the registry.
Power on or restart the computer.
Press and hold “F8” button before the windows logo appears.
You will see system start options as seen below.
Select “Last known good configuration” with the arrow key and press “Enter”.
Your system restarts with the last known configuration when it was working fine and your computer should start fine.
